The Edo Cantilever Side Table challenges perception. Perched atop a solid cherry or walnut base that rises from its splayed foot on a dramatically-angled leg, the table seems almost to defy the laws of physics – yet its ingenious design ensures its inherent stability.

Solid, versatile, refined.
Drawing its primary inspiration from the Japanese Edo era, the Edo Cantilever Side Table is a living demonstration of the wabi-sabi design movement. The dimensions of each element are substantial, with a leg and feet that taper as they rise, hand-hewn to form crisp, concise edges. The feet culminate at the base of the leg in a complex mortise-and-tenon joint, with the leg pinned securely to the top.
The surface of the table is every bit as dramatic as its underpinnings. Hewn from thoughtfully matched North American hardwood, the edges taper toward the base, and the intricate grained surface completes its singular aesthetic.
It’s All In the Details
Ideal for pairing with other pieces in the Edo Collection, the table’s ancient-cum-modern appearance punctuates any array of living furniture with grace, power, and beauty.
