Andy Moser
Designer & Craftsperson
I do a lot of rough sketching to come up with designs, but it’s the process of working with the wood that pushes my designs to really stand out.
I’ve been building a new interpretation of a vintage piano stool. I have been sculpting different bases and working with a new lifter that makes it a breeze to adjust for working from the seated to standing positions and everything in between. I do a lot of tweaking to make sure the design isn’t just wonderful to look at but is functional and comfortable. That’s the most important thing.
“I’m always refining designs in my head and the shop. It’s what I’ve always done. I don’t know any other way to build something meaningful.”
